Welcome
Welcome to my ePortfolio! I have created this site so that you may see some of what Salt Lake Community College has done for me. I have included some of my goals and assignments that my teachers have given me. Along with my goals and assignments I threw in some of my outside studies that also pertain to my education. I know that you see a section for a resume but I couldn’t just let anyone see that kind of information so I left that section open for you to
contact me through this site. That may seem a little devious but with identity theft and other ways for the bad guys to put the good guys in a small dark hole it occurred to me that the good guys were going to have to be a little wicked (woo ha ha ha).

About Me
Hi my name is Jacob. So I’m a pretty laid back kind of guy but that doesn’t mean that I don’t really appreciate when a situation requires a little stress. I like to learn new things and have a pretty open mind when it comes to accepting new information. Now, that isn’t to say that I don’t have to struggle to do a good job on my assignments.
I have a learning disability. I’m sure that you have heard of dyslexia, it makes it hard for me to read and write because when I’m typing I start spelling words backwards, when I was younger I kept a journal and the only way that you can read it is by holding it in front of a mirror. So when you read one of my papers remember that I probably wrote the every word more than once.
This might have kept some people down but I kind of use it to my advantage. You see I like to write, not only like, I love to write and read. Short stories, poems, and more recently I am trying to write a novel, to me there is no better form of art then the written word. I also have more books than most people would imagine. Of course I like other forms of art too. In fact I like to draw, paint, sketch, and mess around with photography. The collage that you see is something that I made up for one of my art classes and after I made it I selected a section and painted it, cool huh.
I started out in college as an art major and thought that I had some talent. I wanted to try to make a fortune in the video game industry but in the end my heart is in the magic of the written
word so I switched my degree to English. In all my time at Salt Lake Community College I have come to realize that I am there not only for my education but to discover a side to me that I may
never have known about.
